༄༅། །ཀློང་གསལ་སྔོན་འགྲོའི་ཁ་སྐོང་།

Supplemental Verses for the Longsal Dorje Nyingpo Preliminaries

ཀློང་གསལ་སྔོན་འགྲོའི་ངག་འདོན་དུ། ལས་རྒྱུ་འབྲས། འཁོར་བའི་ཉེས་དམིགས་ཟུར་ནས་ཁ་སྐོང་བར་འདོད་ན།

If you wish to supplement the liturgy with verses on karmic cause and effect and the faults of saṃsāra, you may add the following lines:

Karma

སྲིད་གསུམ་བདེ་སྡུག་དཀར་ནག་ལས་ཀྱི་འབྲས། །

si sum deduk karnak lé kyi dré

The three worlds’ joys and sorrows are the results of good and bad actions.

བསླུ་མེད་བསགས་པའི་ལས་ནི་ཆུད་མི་འཇའ། །

lumé sakpé lé ni chü mi ja

The unerring karma I have piled up will not just evaporate.

མ་བྱས་པ་དང་མི་འཕྲད་བསྐལ་བརྒྱར་ཡང་། །

majepa dang mi tré kal gyar yang

I will not experience the fruits of deeds I have not done,

ཉམས་མེད་ཚོགས་ཤིང་དུས་བབས་མངོན་དུ་འགྱུར། །

nyammé tsok shing dü bab ngön du gyur

But what I have done will not fade away, even over eons. By and by, I will know the consequences.

དྲག་པོ་ཡེ་འབར་ལས།

And from Longsal Nyingpo’s treasure, Fierce Guru: Wisdom Blazing:¹

The Faults of Saṃsāra

དམྱལ་བ་ཚ་གྲང་ཡི་དྭགས་བཀྲེས་སྐོམ་དང༔

nyalwa tsadrang yidak trekom dang

Hells’ heat and cold, pretas’ hunger and thirst,

དུད་འགྲོ་བླུན་རྨོང་མཐོ་རིས་འགྱུར་བ་ཅན༔

düdro lün mong tori gyurwa chen

Beast’s stupidity, and the high-borns’ fall from grace—²

རིགས་དྲུག་སྡུག་བསྔལ་སྐྱོབས་པའི་སྐྱབས་འགྲུབ་སྟེ༔

rik druk dukngal kyobpé kyab drub té

With the protector sheltering me from the six classes’ woes,

རང་རྒྱུད་དག་པའི་དངོས་གྲུབ་ཐོབ་པར་ཤོག༔

ranggyü dakpé ngödrub tobpar shok

May I attain the siddhi of my mindstream's purification.

ཅེས་བརྗོད། མ་སྐོང་ཀྱང་།

And to complete the meaning, finish with the line:

དེ་ཕྱིར་ད་ལྟ་ཉིད་དུ་བསམ་གཏན་སྒོམས༔

dechir danta nyi du samten gom

To this end, this very moment, I must cultivate my meditative concentration.

ཞེས་པའི་ནང་དུ་དོན་ཚང་བ་ཡིན་ནོ། །

རིན་ཆེན་རྡོ་རྗེའི་ངོར། སི་ཏུ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་རྒྱ་མཚོས་སོ།། དགེའོ།། །།
