༄༅། །དཔལ་ལྡན་ཀརྨ་པ་ལ་གསོལ་འདེབས། །
A Prayer to the Glorious Karmapa1
by the Fifteenth Karmapa
དཀོན་མཆོག་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ཐུགས་རྗེ་འདུས་པའི་སྐུ། །
könchok gyatsö tukjé düpé ku
Embodiment of the compassion of the ocean-like Three Jewels,
རྩ་གསུམ་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་བྱིན་རླབས་རྫོགས་པའི་དཔལ། །
tsa sum gyatsö jinlab dzokpé pal
Perfect splendour of the blessings of the ocean-like Three Roots,
སྐྱབས་གནས་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ཕྲིན་ལས་དབང་ཕྱུག་རྗེ། །
kyabné gyatsö trinlé wangchuk jé
Sovereign of the activity of ocean-like sources of refuge,
དཔལ་ལྡན་ཀརྨ་པ་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །
palden karma pa la solwa deb
Glorious Karmapa, to you I pray.
ཐུགས་རྗེས་གཟིགས་ལ་དགོངས་བརྒྱུད་བྱིན་རླབས་ཕོབ། །
tukjé zik la gonggyü jinlab pob
Look on me with compassion; inspire my mindstream with your blessings,
ལས་ཉོན་བག་ཉལ་སྒྲིབ་ཚོགས་བྱང་བ་དང་། །
lé nyön bak nyal drib tsok jangwa dang
Purify all my karma, afflictions, habitual tendencies and obscurations,
རྟོགས་གྲོལ་དུས་མཉམ་མཆོག་གི་བྱང་ཆུབ་ཆེ། །
tok drol dünyam chok gi changchub ché
And cause to attain me, right here upon this very seat,
སྟན་ཐོག་འདི་རུ་ཐོབ་པར་མཛད་དུ་གསོལ། །
ten tok diru tobpar dzé du sol
The great awakening of simultaneous realization and liberation!
ཞེས་པའང་སྟོང་ནག་ཡར་དགོན་ནས་ཆོས་ལྡན་ཀརྨ་ཆོས་འགྲུབ་སེང་གེའི་ངོར། ཀརྨ་པས་བྲིས་པ་དགེ།
At the request of the Dharma practitioner Karma Chödrup Senggé, the Karmapa wrote this prayer at Tong-nak Yargön. May it be virtuous!
