General Praise of the Sugatas
from the Heruka Galpo and other tantras
མཉམ་མེད་མི་གཡོ་མཉམ་ཉིད་མཆོག་གི་ཆོས་ཉིད་ཅན། །
nyammé mi yo nyamnyi chok gi chönyi chen
Incomparable, with the nature of sublime, unwavering equality,
ཐུགས་རྗེའི་བདག་ཉིད་འགྲོ་བའི་སྡུག་བསྔལ་སེལ་བར་མཛད། །
tukjé daknyi drowé dukngal selwar dzé
Embodiment of compassion, dispeller of beings’ every woe,
ཡོན་ཏན་མཐའ་ཡས་དངོས་གྲུབ་ཐམས་ཅད་སྦྱིན་མཛད་པ། །
yönten tayé ngödrub tamché jin dzepa
Boundless in enlightened qualities, the granter of all siddhis,
དྲི་མེད་མི་གཡོ་མཉམ་མེད་དམ་པའི་མཆོག་ཆོས་ཅན། །
drimé mi yo nyammé dampé chok chöchen
Immaculate, unmoving, supremely noble in character.
ཡོན་ཏན་ཤིན་ཏུ་ཕྲ་བའི་ཆ་ལའང་ཚད་མེད་དེ། །
yönten shintu trawé cha la ang tsemé dé
Even the merest fraction of your qualities is beyond measure,
དཔེ་ནི་ནམ་མཁའ་དང་ཡང་འགྲན་དུ་ཡོད་མ་ཡིན། །
pé ni namkha dang yang dren du yö mayin
Just as the boundless sky itself is entirely beyond compare.
དངོས་གྲུབ་མཐའ་ཡས་མཉམ་མེད་དཔེ་དང་བྲལ་བ་རྣམས། །
ngödrub tayé nyammé pé dang dralwa nam
Infinite attainments, incomparable and unrivalled—
སེམས་ཅན་ཁམས་ལ་དངོས་གྲུབ་མཆོག་རྣམས་ངེས་པར་སྩོལ། །
semchen kham la ngödrub chok nam ngepar tsol
Supreme siddhis you confer assuredly on beings.
རྟག་ཏུ་དྲི་མ་མེད་པ་ཐུགས་རྗེའི་ཤུགས་ལས་བྱུང་། །
taktu drima mepa tukjé shuk lé jung
Forever flawless, born of the force of compassion,
སྨོན་ལམ་གྲུབ་པ་འགོག་པ་མེད་པའི་ཆོས་ཉིད་ཅན། །
mönlam drubpa gokpa mepé chönyi chen
The fulfilment of aspirations, by nature unstoppable,
འགྲོ་བའི་དོན་སྒྲུབ་རབ་ཏུ་བརྩོན་པ་མཐའ་ཡས་པ། །
drowé dön drub rabtu tsönpa tayepa
You accomplish beings’ aims, and, with limitless endeavour,
ཐུགས་རྗེ་ཆེན་པོའི་བདག་ཉིད་རྟག་ཏུ་རྣམ་པར་སྣང་། །
tukjé chenpö daknyi taktu nampar nang
Appear at all times as the epitome of great compassion.
ཚད་མེད་ཚད་དང་བྲལ་བ་ཤིན་ཏུ་ཡོངས་རྫོགས་པའི། །
tsemé tsé dang dralwa shintu yongdzokpé
Beyond measure, unfathomable, entirely perfect and complete,
བདེ་བར་གཤེགས་པའི་གོ་འཕང་དམ་པ་བརྙེས་གྱུར་ཀྱང་། །
dewar shekpé gopang dampa nyé gyur kyang
You attained the sublime level of a sugata, one gone to bliss,
ཁམས་གསུམ་རྣམས་ལ་དངོས་གྲུབ་མཆོག་སྩོལ་མཛད་པ་ཡི། །
kham sum nam la ngödrub chok tsol dzepa yi
Yet still bestow supreme siddhis throughout the triple world—
ཐུགས་རྗེའི་སྤྱོད་པ་མི་གཡོ་འགག་པར་ཡོངས་མི་འགྱུར། །
tukjé chöpa mi yo gakpar yong mingyur
Your compassionate activity steadfast and never-ending.
ཨེ་མ་ཧོ་ཤིན་ཏུ་བཟང་པོའི་ཆོས་ཉིད་མཆོག་དང་ལྡན། །
emaho shintu zangpö chönyi chok dangden
Emaho! Your nature is so utterly perfect and supreme.
མཆོག་སྦྱིན་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ནང་ནས་གོ་འཕང་མཆོག་བརྙེས་པ། །
chok jin nam kyi nang né gopang chok nyepa
You attained the most sublime state, the best of all gifts.
ཁམས་གསུམ་ཀུན་ལ་རྟག་ཏུ་དངོས་གྲུབ་མཆོག་སྩོལ་མཛད། །
kham sum kün la taktu ngödrub chok tsol dzé
And always grant the supreme siddhi on all three realms.
མགོན་པོ་དུས་གསུམ་སྒྲིབ་པ་མེད་པ་རབ་མཁྱེན་པས། །
gönpo dü sum dribpa mepa rab khyenpé
Protector, unrestricted in your knowledge of the three times,
དམ་ཚིག་མཆོག་གསུམ་དངོས་གྲུབ་དམ་པ་བདག་ལ་སྩོལ། །
damtsik chok sum ngödrub dampa dak la tsol
Grant me the perfect siddhis of the three supreme samayas!
འདི་ནི་སངས་རྒྱས་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི། །
di ni sangye tamché kyi
Speaking just once in this way
ཡང་དག་ཡོན་ཏན་རྒྱ་ཆེ་སྟེ། །
yangdak yönten gyaché té
Of all the enlightened buddhas’
ལན་གཅིག་ཙམ་ཞིག་བརྗོད་པས་ཀྱང་། །
len chik tsam zhik jöpé kyang
True qualities, in their vastness,
སངས་རྒྱས་ཐམས་ཅད་འགྲུབ་པར་འགྱུར། །
sangye tamché drubpar gyur
Brings the accomplishment of all buddhas.
ཞེས་དཔལ་ཡང་དག་ཧེ་རུ་ཀ་གལྤོའི་རྒྱུད་སོགས་ལས་གསུངས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་སྤྱིའི་བསྟོད་པའོ། །མངྒ་ལཾ།། །།
