The Loud Peal of Vajra Laughter
A Practice to Entrust Gesar the Jewel with Activities

ཧཱུྃ། རྩ་གསུམ་ཀུན་འདུས་སྐྱེས་མཆོག་དགྲ་བླའི་རྗེ། །
hung, tsa sum kündü kyechok dralé jé
Hūṃ. Supreme being, embodiment of all the Three Roots,
ཡིད་བཞིན་ནོར་བུ་སེང་ཆེན་དགྲ་འདུལ་རྩལ། །
yizhin norbu sengchen dradul tsal
Ruler of the dralas, wish-fulfilling jewel,
སྙིང་གི་པདྨོར་ཁྱེད་གཅིག་རྟག་བརྟེན་ནས། །
nying gi pemor khyé chik takten né
Great Lion, whose power subdues all enemies,
དད་པ་འགྱུར་བ་མེད་པས་ཁྱོད་བསྙེན་ཅིང༌། ༡ །
depa gyurwa mepé khyö nyen ching
The only guest in the lotus of my heart!
དམ་ཚིག་རྣམ་པར་དག་པས་ཁྱོད་བསྟེན་ལ། །
damtsik nampar dakpé khyö ten la
With unwavering faith, I serve you! With the purest samayas, I rely on you!
གཉིས་མེད་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཆེན་པོར་ཁྱོད་སྒྲུབ་བོ། །
nyimé yeshe chenpor khyö drubwo
As I meditate on you in great non-dual wisdom,
བྱང་ཆུབ་བར་དུ་སྲུང་སྐྱོབ་གཡེལ་མེད་པར། །
changchub bardu sung kyob yel mepar
Remember to protect and care for me until enlightenment,
ཡེ་ཤེས་སྤྱན་གྱིས་གཟིགས་ལ་མཐུ་སྐྱེད་ཅིག ༢ །
yeshe chen gyi zik la tu kyé chik
Look upon me with your wisdom eye! Unleash your power!
དང་པོའི་ལས་ཅན་སྒྲིབ་པས་མནར་བ་བདག །
dangpö lechen dribpé narwa dak
A beginner, suffering under a shroud of obscurations,
ནོངས་པ་གང་མཆིས་ཁྱེད་ལ་སྙིང་ནས་བཤགས། །
nongpa gang chi khyé la nying né shak
I confess my wrongdoing from the depth of my heart.
མཐུ་དཔུང་ཁྱེད་བརྟེན་རྒྱལ་མཚན་ཁྱེད་ཕྱར་ཞིང༌། །
tu pung khyé ten gyaltsen khyé char zhing
In you—who wields all power, hoists high the banners of victory,
གཏན་དུ་མི་བསླུའི་བློ་གཏད་ཁྱོད་ལ་འཆའ། ༣ །
tendu mi lü lo té khyö la cha
And who never disappoints—I place all my trust!
སྙིགས་དུས་ཕྱི་ནང་ཉེས་པ་དུ་མས་མནར། །
nyikdü chinang nyepa dumé nar
In this degenerate time, a thousand outer and inner misfortunes torment me.
སུ་ལའང་ཡིད་བརྟན་རུང་བ་མེད་མཐོང་ནས། །
su la ang yiten rungwamé tong né
I have no one else to turn to, and I long for you,
བུ་ཆུང་མ་ལ་གདུང་བཞིན་ཁྱེད་དྲན་ན། །
buchung ma la dung zhin khyé dren na
As a child yearns for its mother;
དུས་གསུམ་ཕ་ལྟར་མགོན་མཛད་ཁྱེད་ཉིད་ཀྱིས། ༤ །
dü sum pa tar gön dzé khyé nyi kyi
Grant me your fatherly protection throughout the three times!
སྲིད་གསུམ་དགྲ་རུ་ལངས་ཀྱང་བདག་གཅིག་ལ། །
si sum dra ru lang kyang dak chik la
Even if all the beings of the three planes of existence rise against me,
ཕྱོགས་ལས་རྣམ་རྒྱལ་སྙན་པའི་བ་དན་སྩོལ། །
chok lé namgyal nyenpé baden tsol
Make me victorious over my every foe and hoist high the banner of my fame.
དཔལ་འབྱོར་དཔག་བསམ་བུམ་བཟང་ནོར་བུའི་གཏེར། །
paljor paksam bum zang norbü ter
Place the precious jewels from the excellent vase of immeasurable wealth
ལག་པའི་མཐིལ་ན་གནས་པ་ཉིད་དུ་མཛོད། ༥ །
lakpé til na nepa nyi du dzö
In the palms of my hands!
རྐང་གཉིས་རྣམས་ལས་འཁོར་ལོས་སྒྱུར་བ་དང༌། །
kang nyi nam lé khorlö gyurwa dang
Raise me above humans—their universal monarch!
རྐང་བཞི་རྣམས་ལས་གདོང་ལྔའི་དབང་པོ་ལྟར། །
kang zhi nam lé dong ngé wangpo tar
Raise me above animals, wielding the power of the lion!
མངོན་འཕགས་ངོ་མཚར་ཉི་མ་ཆེན་པོ་ཡིས། །
ngön pak ngotsar nyima chenpo yi
May I be admired like the great sun
འགྲན་འདོད་ཟླ་བ་སྐར་མའི་ཚོགས་ནོན་ཅིག ༦ །
dren dö dawa karmé tsok nön chik
That outshines its competitors, the moon and all the stars!
མཁའ་ཁྱབ་ཕན་བདེའི་དཔལ་དུ་རྟག་གྱུར་པ། །
khakhyab pendé pal du tak gyurpa
May the glory of well-being and happiness forever fill the whole of space,
ཐམས་ཅད་མཁྱེན་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་བདག་སྒྲུབ་ཀྱི། །
tamché khyenpé yeshe dak drub kyi
May I accomplish omniscient wisdom,
སྲས་བཅས་རྒྱལ་བའི་ཕྲིན་ལས་དཔའ་བོ་ཡིས། །
sé ché gyalwé trinlé pawo yi
And may the champion of the buddhas and bodhisattvas’ activities
བདག་གི་ཡིད་ལ་རེ་བ་ཡོངས་རྫོགས་མཛོད། ༧ །
dak gi yi la rewa yongdzok dzö
Fulfil my every hope!
ཡིད་ལ་གང་དང་གང་བསམ་ཐོགས་མེད་དུ། །
yi la gang dang gang sam tokmé du
With a loud peal of laughter,
བཞད་པའི་གད་རྒྱངས་བཅས་ཏེ་ངོ་མཐོར་སྒྲུབས། །
zhepé gegyang ché té ngo tor drub
Accomplish all I wish for and envision, perfectly and without obstacle!
རང་བྱུང་ཡེ་ཤེས་མཁའ་མཉམ་ནོར་བུའི་སྐུ། །
rangjung yeshe khanyam norbü ku
Grant me Norbu Dradül’s ultimate kāya, the self-arisen primordial wisdom as vast as space,
འཇམ་དཔལ་དཔལ་དང་ལྡན་པར་བདག་གྲུབ་མཛོད། ༨ །
jampal pal dang denpar dak drub dzö
Endowed with the brilliance of Gentle Splendour!
མེ་སྤྲེལ་ཟླ་༤ཚེས་༨ལ་འཆི་མེད་མཆོག་གྲུབ་གླིང་དུ་འཇམ་དཔལ་རྡོ་རྗེས་བཀོད་པ་མངྒ་ལཾ། །
