༄༅། །མར་མེའི་སྨོན་ལམ།
Lamp Offering Prayer

ཧཱུྃ། བླ་མེད་གསང་བ་མཆོག་གི་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་དུ། །
hung, lamé sangwa chok gi kyilkhor du
Hūṃ. In the maṇḍala of the supreme unsurpassable secret,
སྙིང་པོ་བྱང་ཆུབ་ལམ་ལ་ཞུགས་པ་ཡིས། །
nyingpo changchub lam la zhukpa yi
Having set out on the path to the essence of enlightenment,
འཁོར་བའི་གཡང་ས་ཆེན་པོར་མི་ལྟུང་ཤིང༌། །
khorwé yangsa chenpor mi tung shing
May I not fall into the great abyss of saṃsāra,
ཆགས་སྡང་གཅོང་རོང་གནས་སུ་མི་སྐྱེ་དང༌། །
chakdang chong rong né su mi kyé dang
Nor be born in the canyons of attachment and aversion.
ལོག་ལྟ་དམྱལ་བའི་ཟང་ཁར་རྦབ་མི་འགྲིལ། །
lokta nyalwé zang khar bab mi dril
May I not pitch into the hellish cauldrons of wrong views,
འཁོན་འཛིན་གཅན་གཟན་གདུག་པའི་སྐད་མི་ཐོས། །
khöndzin chenzen dukpé ké mi tö
Nor hear the cries of the vicious beasts of resentment.
ཉོན་མོངས་མཚོན་རྩེ་གདུག་པའི་ཟེར་མི་འཕོག །
nyönmong tsöntsé dukpé zer mi pok
May I not be struck by the sharp weapons of afflictions.
དགེ་བའི་བཤེས་གཉེན་བཀའ་དྲིན་ཆེ་བ་དང༌། །
geweshé nyen kadrin chewa dang
May I have virtuous spiritual friends of great kindness,
སྲོག་གིས་སྦྲེལ་བའི་མཆེད་དང་ལྕམ་དྲལ་དང༌། །
sok gi drelwé ché dang chamdral dang
And companions and siblings bound by the life-force of samaya,
གསུམ་པའི་དབང་གིས་སྦྲེལ་བའི་རིག་མ་གསུམ། །
sumpé wang gi drelwé rik ma sum
And a consort to whom I am tied through the third empowerment.
སྐྱེ་བ་འདི་དང་ཚེ་རབས་ཐམས་ཅད་དུ། །
kyewa di dang tserab tamché du
In this life and throughout all my lives to come,
མི་འབྲལ་རྩེ་གཅིག་འགྲོགས་པའི་ཏིང་འཛིན་གྱིས། །
mindral tsechik drokpé tingdzin gyi
May we never part, but through the samādhi of focused companionship,
ས་བཅུ་ཁྱད་པར་རིམ་གྱིས་བགྲོད་པར་ཤོག །
sa chu khyepar rimgyi dröpar shok
Progress together through the ten bhūmis.
ནམ་ཞིག་ཚེ་འཕོས་ལུས་བརྗེའི་དུས་བྱུང་ནས། །
namzhik tsé pö lü jé dü jung né
When one day the time comes to depart this life and change bodies,
འཁོར་བའི་གཡང་སར་ལན་གཅིག་ལྟུང་སྲིད་ཀྱང༌། །
khorwé yangsar len chik tung si kyang
Even if I should fall once more into the abyss of saṃsāra,
སྣང་བའི་གོ་འབྱེད་ཞུན་མར་མདངས་གསལ་འདིས། །
nangwé go jé zhünmar dang sal di
May this bright light-giving lamp of melted butter,
རིག་འཛིན་སྒྲུབ་པ་པོ་ཡི་ཤུལ་མཚོན་ཅིང༌། །
rigdzin drubpapo yi shul tsön ching
Symbolize the path of the vidyādhara practitioners.
ཀུན་ཏུ་འོད་ཀྱི་ས་ལ་རྒྱུད་སྦྱངས་ནས། །
küntu ö kyi sa la gyü jang né
Having purified my mindstream on the stage of Universal Light,2
པདྨ་ཆེན་པོའི་ས་ལ་ལྷུན་གྱིས་གྲུབ། །
pema chenpö sa la lhün gyi drub
May I spontaneously attain the stage of the Great Lotus.
འཁོར་ལོ་ཚོགས་ཆེན་ས་ལ་གཤེགས་པའི་ཚེ། །
khorlo tsokchen sa la shekpé tsé
When proceeding to the stage of the Great Assembly Wheel,
སྔོན་གྱི་རྒྱལ་བ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་མདུན་བསུས་ཤིག །
ngön gyi gyalwa nam kyi dün sü shik
May the buddhas of the past come to welcome me from the front,
ཡི་དམ་ལྷ་ཡིས་རྒྱབ་ནས་སྲོག་རྟེན་ཅིག །
yidam lha yi gyab né sok ten chik
May the yidam deities support my life-force from behind,
བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་མཐའ་སྐྱོར་ཅིག །
changchub sempa nam kyi ta kyor chik
May the bodhisattvas surround me on all sides,
མཆོད་པའི་ལྷ་མོ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་སྣ་དྲོངས་ཤིག །
chöpé lhamo nam kyi na drong shik
May the offering goddesses lead the way,
མ་ཚོགས་དབང་མོ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་རྗེས་སྐྱོངས་ཤིག །
ma tsok wangmo nam kyi jé kyong shik
And may the host of powerful ḍākinīs protect me from behind.
ལྕང་ལོ་ཅན་གྱི་ས་ལ་ཕྱིན་པའི་ཚེ། །
changlo chen gyi sa la chinpé tsé
When reaching the land of Aṭakāvatī,
མི་ལྡོག་པ་ཡི་ས་ལ་གནས་ནས་ཀྱང༌། །
mindok pa yi sa la né né kyang
And abiding at the stage from which there is no turning back,
རྡོ་རྗེ་ཁྲོ་རྒྱལ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཞལ་མཐོང་ནས། །
dorjé trogyal khyö kyi zhal tong né
Having seen your face, Vajra Wrathful King,
རིག་འཛིན་རྣམས་དང་དབྱེར་མེད་གྱུར་ནས་ཀྱང༌། །
rigdzin nam dang yermé gyur né kyang
May I become inseparable from all vidyādharas,
བླ་མེད་སྐུ་གསུང་ཐུགས་སུ་འགྲུབ་པར་ཤོག །
lamé ku sung tuk su drubpar shok
And accomplish the unsurpassable body, speech, and mind.
ཨི་དཾ་སརྦ་ཤི་ཥྱཱ་ཎཾ་ཏྲི་མུ་ཁ་བི་ཤཱུདྡྷི་བྷ་བ་ཏུ།།
idam sarva śiṣyāṇāṃ trimukha viśuddhi bhavatu3
