The Request

ཀུན་མཁྱེན་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཕུང་པོ་ཅན། །

künkhyen yeshe pungpo chan

Omniscient one, embodiment of primordial wisdom,

སྲིད་པའི་འཁོར་ལོ་རྣམ་སྦྱོང་བ། །

sipé khorlo nam jongwe

Who thoroughly purifies the wheel of existence—

དེ་རིང་བཤད་པའི་རིན་ཆེན་གཏེར། །

dering shepé rinchen ter

Lord, with your kindness, grant me this precious treasure

གཙོ་བོས་བདག་ལ་བཀའ་དྲིན་སྩོལ། །

tsowö dak la kadrin tsol

Of which you have spoken today.

Taking Refuge

ན་མོ༔ སྐྱེ་མེད་ཡེ་ཤེས་མཁའ་འགྲོའི་སྐུ༔

namo, kyemé yeshe khandrö ku

Namo. Unborn, primordial wisdom is the body of the ḍākinī;

འགགས་མེད་རང་བྱུང་རྣལ་འབྱོར་མ༔

gakmé rangjung naljorma

Unceasing, naturally arisen is the yoginī;

རྒྱལ་ཡུམ་རྡོ་རྗེ་ཕག་མོ་ལ༔

gyalyum dorjé pakmo la

Mother of all the buddhas, Vajravārāhī,

འདུ་འབྲལ་མེད་པར་སྐྱབས་སུ་མཆི༔

dudral mepar kyab su chi

In you, beyond union and separation, I take refuge.

Generating Bodhicitta

ཧོ༔ འདི་ནས་བྱང་ཆུབ་མ་ཐོབ་བར༔

ho, di né changchub matob bar

Hoḥ. From now until I attain awakening,

ཡེ་ཤེས་མཁའ་འགྲོ་ཁྱོད་བསྒྲུབ་ནས༔

yeshe khandro khyö drub né

I will practise you, the wisdom ḍākinī. Once I have accomplished your practice,

ཕྱོགས་རིས་བྲལ་བའི་སེམས་ཅན་རྣམས༔

chokri dralwé semchen nam

I will establish all beings, impartially,

བདེ་ཆེན་ས་ལ་འགོད་པར་བགྱི༔

dechen sa la göpar gyi

In great bliss.

The Eight Branches

ཧོཿ རྡོ་རྗེ་སློབ་དཔོན་སངས་རྒྱས་དཔལ༔

ho, dorjé lobpön sangye pal

Hoḥ. I prostrate to the vajra master,

དུས་གསུམ་བཞུགས་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ༔

dü sum zhuk la chaktsal lo

Glorious embodiment of the buddhas of past, present and future!

མཆོག་གསུམ་བསྟེན་པའི་ཞིང་གྱུར་ལ༔

chok sum tenpé zhing gyur la

With a mind free from all duality,

གཉིས་མེད་ཡིད་ཀྱིས་སྐྱབས་སུ་མཆི༔

nyimé yi kyi kyab su chi

I take refuge in the Three Jewels, the objects of reliance!

དངོས་འབྱོར་ཡིད་ཀྱིས་རྣམ་སྤྲུལ་པའི༔

ngöjor yi kyi namtrulpé

I request that you accept these pure offerings,

དག་པའི་མཆོད་པ་བཞེས་སུ་གསོལ༔

dakpé chöpa zhé su sol

Both actual and envisioned.

དངོས་གྲུབ་ཆུ་བོ་གཅོད་པའི་གེགས༔

ngödrub chuwo chöpé gek

My faults, the hindrances that cut the flow of accomplishments,

ཉེས་བྱས་མ་ལུས་བཤགས་པར་བགྱི༔

nyejé malü shakpar gyi

I confess without exception.

ཕྱོགས་བཅུ་འཁོར་གསུམ་དག་པའི་ཆོས༔

chok chu khor sum dakpé chö

In all those actions throughout the ten directions done without attachment

མ་ཆགས་སྤྱོད་ལ་རྗེས་ཡི་རང་༔

ma chak chö la jéyirang

And free from concepts of subject, object and action, I rejoice!

དག་པའི་མཐའ་བཞི་དྲི་མ་མེད༔

dakpé ta zhi drima mé

I awaken the perfect mind set upon awakening,

རྫོགས་པའི་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་བསྐྱེད་དོ༔

dzokpé changchub semkyé do

Pure and untainted by the four extremes.

བདེ་གཤེགས་དབང་ཕྱུག་སེམས་ཅན་ལ༔

deshek wangchuk semchen la

To the bliss-gone ones, mighty lords and sentient beings.

དགོས་པ་གསུམ་ཕྱིར་ལུས་འབུལ་ལོ༔

göpa sum chir lü bul lo

I offer my body for the threefold purpose.

ཚེ་རབས་བགྲངས་པའི་ལས་རྣམས་ཀུན༔

tserab drangpé lé nam kün

Gathering the merits accumulated throughout all my lives,

བསྡུས་ཏེ་བྱང་ཆུབ་ཆེན་པོར་བསྔོ༔

dü té changchub chenpor ngo

I dedicate them to supreme enlightenment!

Accepting the Samayas

བདེ་བར་གཤེགས་པ་ཁྱེད་ཅི་འདྲ། །

dewar shekpa khyé chindra

Bliss Gone One, whatever you are like,

དེ་འདྲ་ཁོ་ནར་བདག་འགྱུར་ཤོག །

dendra khonar dak gyur shok

May I become exactly the same,

སྤྱོད་པ་རྨད་བྱུང་བསམ་ཡས་པ། །

chöpa mejung samyé pa

And carry out wondrous, inconceivable actions

འགྲོ་ལ་ཕན་ཕྱིར་བདག་གིས་སྤྱད། །

dro la pen chir dak gi ché

In order to bring benefit to beings.

བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་མཆོག་དམ་པ་དང་། །

changchub sem chok dampa dang

The vows of the supreme mind set upon awakening

སྐུ་གསུང་ཐུགས་ཀྱི་ཕྱག་རྒྱ་ནི། །

ku sung tuk kyi chakgya ni

And the mudrās of body, speech and mind,

སྲོག་གི་ཕྱིར་ཡང་མི་གཏོང་ན། །

sok gi chir yang mi tong na

Even at the cost of my own life, I shall not forsake.

རྡོ་རྗེ་རྒྱལ་པོས་བྱིན་བརླབ་མཛོད། །

dorjé gyalpö jin lab dzö

Vajra king, inspire me with your blessings.

Paying Homage

ཨོཾ་ན་མ་སྟེ་ཧཱུྃ།

om nama té hung

oṃ namas te hūṃ

ཨོཾ་ན་མ་མི་ཧཱུྃ།

om nama mi hung

oṃ nama mi hūṃ

ཨོཾ་ན་མོ་ན་མ་ཧཱུྃ།

om namo nama hung

oṃ namo nama hūṃ

Casting the Flower

པྲ་ཏཱིཙྪ་བཛྲ་ཧོཿ

pratitsa benza ho

pratīccha vajra hoḥ

The Request

བྱང་ཆུབ་རྡོ་རྗེས་སངས་རྒྱས་ལ། །

changchub dorjé sangye la

As the Vajra of Enlightenment bestowed

མཆོད་ཆེན་ཇི་ལྟར་བསྩལ་པ་ལྟར། །

chö chen jitar tsalpa tar

The supreme worship on the Buddhas,

བདག་ཀྱང་ཡོངས་སུ་སྐྱོབ་པའི་ཕྱིར། །

dak kyang yongsu kyobpé chir

Bestow it now upon me,

ནམ་མཁའི་རྡོ་རྗེ་དེང་བདག་སྩོལ། །

namkhé dorjé deng dak tsol

O Vajra Space, for my salvation.

The Mantra

ཨོཾ་པདྨོ་ཡོ་གི་ནཱི་ཏཱ་རེ་ཏུཏྟཱ་རེ་ཏུ་རེ་ཛྙཱ་ན་ཝཱ་རཱ་ཧཱི་ཧཱུྃཿ

om pemo yogini taré tuttaré turé jnana varahi hum

oṃ padmo-yoginī tāre tuttāre ture jñāna-vārāhī hūṃ

The Request

བཅོམ་ལྡན་བདག་གིས་བཟུང་ལགས་ཀྱིས། །

chomden dak gi zung lak kyi

Blessed One, I will follow you.

བདག་ལ་ཉེ་བར་མཛད་དུ་གསོལ། །

dak la nyewar dzé du sol

Please take care of me.

Promise to Keep the Samayas

དབང་བཞི་རྫོགས་པའི་དམ་ཚིག་ཏུ༔

wang zhi dzokpé damtsik tu

As samaya commitments for having received the four empowerments,

རྡོ་རྗེ་སློབ་དཔོན་མི་སྤང་ཞིང་༔

dorjé lobpön mi pang zhing

I pledge never to abandon the vajra master,

མར་ངོའི་ཚེས་བཅུ་རྒྱུན་མི་གཅད༔

mar ngö tsé chu gyün mi che

To observe continually the twenty-fifth day of the lunar calendar,

གཞོན་ནུ་མ་ལ་བསྙེན་བཀུར་བྱ༔

zhönnuma la nyenkur ja

To honour and respect young women,

རྟག་ཏུ་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་གཉིས་བསྒོམ༔

taktu changchub sem nyi gom

And always to cultivate twofold bodhicitta.

གཙོ་བོས་ཇི་ལྟར་བཀའ་བསྩལ་པ། །

tsowö jitar ka tsalpa

Whatever the guru, chief of the maṇḍala, commands,

དེ་དག་ཐམས་ཅད་བདག་གིས་བགྱི། །

dedak tamché dak gi gyi

I shall carry out—each and every instruction.

ཁྱོད་ལ་བདག་ཀྱང་ཡོངས་སུ་འབུལ། །

khyö la dak kyang yongsu bul

I offer myself entirely to you.

སློབ་མར་བཟུང་ནས་སྤྱད་དུ་གསོལ། །

lobmar zung né ché du sol

Accept me as your student and I will follow your words in detail.
