༄༅། །མར་མེའི་སྨོན་ལམ།

Light Offering Prayer

འོད་ཀྱིས་སྟོང་གསུམ་གསལ་བར་ནུས་པ་ཡི། །

ö kyi tongsum salwar nüpa yi

With a boundless array of lamps of divine material,

ལྷ་རྫས་མར་མེའི་ཕྲེང་བ་དཔག་མེད་ཀྱིས། །

lhadzé marmé trengwa pakmé kyi

Capable of illuminating a thousand million worlds,

རབ་འབྱམས་ཕྱོགས་བཅུའི་ཞིང་ན་བཞུགས་པ་ཡི། །

rabjam chok chü zhing na zhukpa yi

I make offerings to the gurus, victorious ones and their heirs,

བླ་མ་རྒྱལ་བ་སྲས་བཅས་མཆོད་པར་བགྱིས། །

lama gyalwa sé ché chöpar gyi

Who dwell throughout the infinite realms of the ten directions.

དགེ་བས་བདག་གིས་བསགས་པའི་སྡིག་ལྟུང་དང་། །

gewé dak gi sakpé diktung dang

Through the virtue of this, may I cast aside past misdeeds and downfalls

ཤེས་ཉོན་སྒྲིབ་པའི་མུན་པ་ཀུན་སྤངས་ནས། །

shé nyön dribpé münpa künpang né

And clear away the darkness of cognitive and emotional obscurations.

སྤྱན་དང་མངོན་ཤེས་སྣང་བ་མཆོག་ཐོབ་སྟེ། །

chen dang ngönshé nangwa chok tob té

May I gain the supreme illumination of supernatural vision and perception,

མཐའ་ཡས་འགྲོ་བའི་དོན་ཆེན་བྱེད་པར་ཤོག །

tayé drowé dön chen jepar shok

And benefit on a vast scale to incalculable numbers of beings.

དེང་ནས་བཟུང་སྟེ་ཚེ་རབས་ཐམས་ཅད་དུ། །

deng né zung té tserab tamché du

From now on, throughout all my lives to come,

རྒྱལ་བ་ཀུན་གྱི་དམ་ཆོས་མཛོད་བཟུང་ནས། །

gyalwa kün gyi damchö dzö zung né

May I hold the Dharma treasury of all the victors,

ཟང་ཟིང་མེད་པའི་ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྣང་བ་ཡིས། །

zangzing mepé chö kyi nangwa yi

And through the light of unadulterated Dharma,

འགྲོ་བའི་རྨོངས་པའི་མུན་པ་སེལ་བར་ཤོག །

drowé mongpé münpa selwar shok

Banish the darkness of beings’ confusion.

གནས་སྐབས་བླང་དོར་ལྟ་བའི་ཆུ་བུར་མིག །

nekab langdor tawé chubur mik

Meanwhile, may I cleanse the eyes that see what to adopt and avoid,

རླུང་མཁྲིས་བད་ཀན་འདུས་པའི་ནད་དང་ནི། །

lung tri beken düpé né dang ni

Dispel disorders caused by an imbalance of wind, bile and phlegm,

དམ་ཚིག་ཉམས་ཆག་གྲིབ་ཀྱིས་ཕོག་པ་སོགས། །

damtsik nyamchak drib kyi pokpa sok

Purify contamination brought about by breakages of samaya,

སྒྲིབ་བྱའི་དྲི་མ་ཐམས་ཅད་དག་གྱུར་ཅིག །

drib jé drima tamché dak gyur chik

And clear away every form of obscurative defilement.
