Long Life Prayer for Patrick Gaffney (Yeshé Wangyal)

ཕ༵་མཐའ་ཡས་པའི་ཚེ་དང་ཡེ༵་ཤེ༵ས་ཀྱི། །

pa tayepé tsé dang yeshe kyi

May the assembly of powerful and victorious wish-fulfilling deities,

མཆོག་སྦྱིན་ཡིད་བཞིན་དབ༵ང་རྒྱ༵ལ་ལྷ་ཚོགས་ཀྱིས། །

chok jin yizhin wanggyal lhatsok kyi

Who grant the supreme gifts of boundless life and wisdom,

འཆི་མེད་ཚེ་ཡི་དངོས་གྲུབ་མ་ལུས་པ། །

chimé tsé yi ngödrub malüpa

Bestow all the attainments of longevity and immortality,

ཁྲི༵གས་ཆགས་རྒྱུན་མི་འཆད་པར་སྩལ་དུ་གསོལ། །

trikchak gyün michepar tsal du sol

In a continuous and everlasting stream, we pray!

ཞེས་པ་འདི་ནི་བདག་གི་ཁྱིམ་མཚེས་དྲིན་ཅན་ནི་ན་ལགས་ཀྱིས་སྐུ་ཞབས་ཕ་ཁྲིགས་ཡེ་ཤེས་དབང་རྒྱལ་ལགས་ཀྱི་སྐུ་ཚེ་བརྟན་པའི་སྨོན་ཚིག་ཅིག་བྲིས་ཤིག་ཅེས་ནན་གྱིས་བསྐུལ་བའི་ངོར་ཕྲན་ཐུབ་བསྟན་ཉི་མས་ཇི་ལྟར་སྨོན་པ་དེ་བཞིན་ཡོངས་སུ་འགྲུབ་པའི་མཐུན་འགྱུར་མགོན་པོ་ཚེ་དཔག་མེད་ཀྱིས་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབ་པར་མཛད་དུ་གསོལ།། །།

In response to the persistent requests of my kindly neighbour Nina-la, who asked me to write a prayer for the long life of the esteemed Patrick Gaffney (Yeshé Wangyal-la), this was composed by Thubten Nyima (Alak Zenkar Rinpoche). May Lord Amitāyus grant his blessings so that circumstances are favourable for this prayer of ours to be fulfilled.
